Color

As previously mentioned, this research proposes the Munsell Color Notation System as a binding point between design and geography.

The term Geochromy refers to the intersection between the chromaticity inherent to geomorphology and chroma understood and employed as a visual code from design. Thus, the Munsell system functions as the central axis of this research, enabling a transdisciplinary dialogue through color.

Color Theory

It is necessary to review certain basic notions and diverse theories of color in order to understand Munsell’s proposal.

 Munsell

The Munsell system is described here by addressing its main characteristics.

Color Atlas

This section provides access to the original Munsell Color Atlas translated into Spanish

The scheme organizes information in relation to Munsell, considering various points necessary to understand its system and how it will be approached in the project.

Methodologies
From geography, the methodology employed in fieldwork is described. In a way, the concepts arising from the word landscape are put into practice.

Field Methodology – Fieldwork

Record of sample collecting and respective chromatic analysis using the Munsell system.

Experimentation

Graphic inquiries are proposed from visual codes, integrating color and field experience.
